Compass fulfills its mission to provide music education for aspiring musicians, singers and songwriters through workshops and its future music business conference:
COMPASS WORKSHOPS SERIES (planned for late 2012) for musicians, singers and songwriters at all skill levels, on a variety of music education topics, such topics as the craft and business of songwriting, home recording, making a demo, marketing and promoting your band, etc. Dates and details when available will be on calendar page.
COMPASS MUSIC BUSINESS CONFERENCE (planned for 2013) that provides an indepth, one and one-half day Music Business Conference for aspiring musicians, singers and songwriters and anyone involved in the music business. Daytime workshops and clinics, followed by evening networking sessions and a Compass Music Showcase. The conference will feature local, regional and nationally known presenters in the music industry, with vendor trade show and performances by artists. The event will be marketed to the entire midwest.
