Compass is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2007, led by a diverse volunteer board of local musicians, music educators, and arts advocates. Since its inception, Compass has helped to foster a musical community in mid-Missouri by hosting summer music camps, various workshops, classes, the annual Compass Fest, songwriter circles, open mics, and musician showcases for adults and youth.
On June 3, 2022, Compass Inc. opened it’s doors to the community with a physical location on University Ave. Thanks to the support of local community donors and a generous grant from Veterans United Foundation, they were able to cover the cost of renovations and create a welcoming environment for the community to gather to learn, practice, and appreciate music.
The Mission of Compass is to is to provide aspiring musicians, singers and songwriters with educational, promotional, networking and showcasing opportunities to help them reach their full musical and artistic potential, with a vision of making these opportunities available to everyone through the Music is for Everyone Scholarship Fund.
