Jazz White, a Columbia native, teaches 4th and 5th grade music at Ridgeway Elementary. A lifelong musician, he began playing guitar and piano at age 8 and later picked up the trumpet, performing in jazz band throughout school. Jazz has played guitar with local funk and R&B collective Soul Sessions at venues across Columbia and performed with Sifa at the 2023 Treeline Festival. In addition to classroom teaching, he has offered private guitar and piano lessons for the past two years. Jazz is passionate about inspiring young musicians and sharing his deep love of music through engaging and creative instruction.
